The underlying security framework that lies beyond an enterprise’s defined boundary, but supports its information assurance (IA) and IA-enabled products, its security posture and its risk management plan. Note: DoDI 8500.01 has transitioned from the term information assurance (IA) to the term cybersecurity. This could potentially impact IA related terms.
